The ENS de Lyon is a pluridisciplinary higher education establishment under the supervision of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. It is :

In 2011, the ENS de Lyon integrated the former National Institute for Pedagogical Research (INRP) that was reorganised into the French Institute of Education (IFÉ). IFÉ is the French research and innovation platform dedicated to educational issues in connection with local field actors and a large international network of educational communities.

The Institute’s missions are:
• to conduct research in education at the various levels of initial, continuing & vocational training and especially in relation to the observation of practices;
• to provide support to national/international and academic piloting on teaching practices & reforms, innovation and experimentation;
• to facilitate the diffusion of scientific resources in education and the transfer of research results, in particular to improve the training of trainers;
• to make the link between researchers and practitioners and feed research through field analysis

IFÉ works in collaboration with higher education institutions, research organizations and institutional actors of the education system.

Leader of the project

The IFÉ manages the project, organise the meeting and seminars, participate at the experiment of specific training for multi-professional teams, create tool for trainers and manage the website for dissemination of the works.

Simon Flandin contributes to the analysis of the needs of the multi-professional teams and to the work done in these teams. He designs tools for the trainers who have to mentor and train the teams.

Sylvie MARTIN-DAMETTO
Teacher in charge of studies on Early school leaving.
Teacher in charge of a research about how learning is managed between school time and out-of-school time
She is working on the effect of artistic and cultural projects in schools
Teacher involved in a research team concerning algebra teaching in a lower secondary school
She follows the experimentation in France, contributes to the creation of the website and to the creation of the tools for trainers (WP8 and 5).

Olivier REY
In charge of the service “Veille et Analyses” which makes literature reviews in the field of education. French Responsible for the KeyCoNet project (European Policy Network on the Implementation of Key Competence Development in School Education).
Main fields of expertise: competencies in educational context, educational policy, quality of educational research, evaluation of education system, assessment of students, curriculum studies, higher education.
He coordinates the creation of the mapping of researchers and experts on early school leaving (WP3) and contributes to the work on the database on ESL (WP2)

Rémi THIBERT
Research analyst in the service “Veille et analyses” (observatory on educational research), author of literature reviews about teacher education, learning (primary and lower secondary school), teaching practices.
He contributes to the work on the mapping (WP2)

Patrick PICARD
School teacher, has worked in different sectors (special education, SEGPA, primary education), and for several years has built and implemented training for the first and second degree, before being recruited as a researcher to the Centre Alain Savary. He is now in charge of the Centre Alain Savary.

His work themes are: the professionalization of beginning teachers, the analysis of teachers’ work, the versatility of the teacher of the first degree, equal opportunities, management of devices and actions of priority education, trainers’ training, assessment and skills, reading comprehension and basic skills.
He holds a Master of Social and Cognitive Psychology, specializing in Engineering Teaching Council, University of Clermont.

Elle travaille sur les effets des projets artistiques et culturels à l’école.
Enseignante impliquée dans une équipe de recherche sur l’enseignement de l’algèbre au collège.
Mme Dametto suit l’expérimentation en France, contribue à la création du site web et des outils pour les formateurs (WP8 et 5).

Olivier REY
En charge du service “Veille et Analyses” qui publie des revues de littérature dans le domaine de l’éducation. Responsable en France du projet KeyCoNet (Réseau européen pour la mise en oeuvre des compétences dans l’enseignement).
Principaux domaine d’expertise : compétences en contexte éducatif, politiques éducatives, qualité de la recherche éducative, évaluation du système éducatif, évaluation des élèves, études sur les programmes scolaires, enseignement supérieur.
M. Rey coordonne la création du recensement des chercheurs et des experts dans le domaine du décrochage scolaire (WP3) et contribue au travail sur la base scientifique de données sur le décrochage scolaire (WP2).

Rémi THIBERT
Chargé d’études au service “Veille et analyses” (observatoire de recherche en éducation), auteur de revues de littérature à propos de la formation des enseignants, de l’apprentissage (école primaire et collège), des pratiques d’enseignement.
Il contribue au travail sur le recensement des chercheurs (WP2).

Patrick PICARD
Professeur des écoles, a exercé dans différents secteurs (enseignement spécialisé, SEGPA, éducation prioritaire), a construit et mis en œuvre pendant plusieurs années des formations pour le premier et le second degré (académie de Dijon), avant d’être recruté au Centre Alain-Savary, qu’il dirige à l’heure actuelle.

Ses thématiques de travail sont : la professionnalisation des enseignants débutants, l’analyse du travail enseignant, la polyvalence de l’enseignant du premier degré, l’égalité des chances, le pilotage des dispositifs et actions de l’éducation prioritaire, la formation de formateurs, l’évaluation et les compétences, la compréhension de l’écrit et les apprentissages fondamentaux.
Il est titulaire d’un Master de Psychologie sociale et cognitive, spécialité Ingénierie du Conseil Pédagogique, université de Clermont.
