HEP-VS is a cantonal institution of tertiary level, located in Brigue and in Saint-Maurice, which general mission consists in insuring harmoniously the initial and continue vocational training for candidates in the teaching for the preschool, primary and secondary schools of the 1st and the 2nd degree : Bachelor preschool and primary; Master’s degree for the education in the schools of the secondary sector 1st degree; diploma combined for the education in the schools of the 1st and 2nd secondary sector degrees; diploma for the education in the schools of maturity; Master’s degree in special education.
It guarantees a level of requirements allowing the national and international recognition of the titles delivered for teaching capacities (recognition of the Conference of the Directors of the State education of Switzerland of June, 2004 and December, 2012 for all the delivered diplomas). HEP-VS includes three main sectors: the basic training, the in-service and postgrades training, the research and development.

A transverse sector, the domain of the development of the school produces data for the monitoring, realizes inquiries and tests, support the schools of the ground, develop and spreads the specific expertise of the Institution. These sectors are complementary and closely linked. Therefore, teachers, researchers, students and professional in service are called to meet there regularly in a dynamic, convenient climate for collaboration.

Having for general mission to assure the initial and vocational training for candidates in teaching, HEP-VS guarantees a level of requirements allowing the national and international recognition of the titles delivered for teaching capacities.
To perform its mission and train professional, autonomous and responsible teachers, the trainings organized by HEP-VS lean on the principles of the reflexive practice and its instruments.
HEP-VS organizes the additional and continuous trainings of the teaching personnel of schools, from preschool to the 2nd secondary sector, and to the practitioners-trainers, directors of schools, educational organizers, mediators as well as people committed in the educational sector
HEP-VS develop research works in education, in association with other institutions of the tertiary sector (HEY, HES, Universities).

Sophie AMEZ-DROZ
Teacher HEP, Sociologist, responsible of final assesments ; Member of the Group Institution Quality. Researcher in the field of feminism questions.

Danièle PERISSET
Phd in Education sciences, teacher HEP, responsible of research in the School development sector. Priva Docent at Genova University, editor of the swiss revue of Education Sciences, she is involved in several networks, national (SSRE) and international committees (REF).

La HEP-VS est une institution cantonale de niveau tertiaire, située à Brigue et à Saint-Maurice, dont la mission générale consiste à assurer harmonieusement la formation professionnelle initiale et continue des candidat-es à l’enseignement pour les écoles enfantines, primaires et secondaires du 1er et du 2ème degré.

Équipe impliquée dans le projet

Antoine MUDRY
Enseignant à la HEP, Antoine est responsable du sectuer de la Formation des enseignants du secondaire ; il est également responsable du secteur Développement de l’École.

Sophie AMEZ-DROZ
Enseignante à la HEP, sociologue, responsable des évaluations finales ; membre du Groupe Qualité de l’Institution. Chercheur dans le domaine des questions feministes.

Danièle PERISSET
Docteur en Sciences de l’Éducation, enseignant à la HEP, responsable de recherche dans le secteur Développement de l’École. Privat-Docent à l’Université de Genève, rédactrice de la revue suisse de Sciences de l’Éducation, elle fait partie de différents réseaux, de comités nationaux (SSRE) et internationaux (REF).
