Temporary or non statutory researcher
In my thesis I aim to identify, analyze and problematize representations of so called “failing schools” in the Swedish national context in order to contribute to the understanding of education and school governance in a time of exceptional reform intensity. I am interested in problem representations as a way of governing and how policy is legitimized by ways of depicting something as a ‘problem’: What are school problems represented to be? Who are the assumed heroes and villains? These are some of the issues I wish to address.
