Erasmus+ thematic seminar, Riga

The Latvian National Agency for Erasmus+ in the fields of Education and Training – State Education Development Agency – organised international thematic seminar “Erasmus+ programme support for tackling early school leaving”. 15th of October 2015 in Riga, Latvia.
The main objective of the seminar was awareness raising and sharing practices of work for reduction of early school leaving, taking into consideration that it is one of the European Union policy priorities in the period till 2020.
Erasmus+ programme can serve as one of the instruments available for effective cooperation and best practice sharing in early school leaving problem solution.

Symposium - Staying on track – Tackling ESL and promoting success in school

In the context of the mid-term assessment of the Europe 2020 and Education and Training 2020 strategies, this symposium aims at taking stock of the progress achieved and of the ongoing measures to tackle early school leaving and to discuss the next steps at European level.

The Luxembourg Presidency intends to prepare draft Council conclusions to be submitted to the EU Education Ministers in order to give a new impetus to the European cooperation on this matter.
